My Graduation Trip - Part 1
Most of the graduating students would surely have been or gonna go on a graduation trip. I started thinking about it since last year as in where to go to, with which frens and the amount money I would save up for it. The plan didn't work out at all, unfortunately. Guess it was becoz we kinda forgotten about grad trip a bit. Was it due to the hectic-ness of chinese new year, prom, tests and stupid assignments? Or HR major lacked of good leaders? Or me not putting in effort to make it a success coz I'm running outta money? Or we simply couldn't be bothered to go vacation with each other and prefer to go with other closer frens from other majors and faculties? Maybe we were. Juz face it.

But hey!! I did go on holiday with my FET frens :) Well, it was a more budget trip compared to Redang or Sabah, that's why I could afford man. We went to Genting and KL for 3 days and 2 nights. This blog is especially for Joanna who was supposed to join in but didn't :( But I'm not sure if you would enjoy it as you dun like clubbing and thrilling rides.

So which one should I start with? Genting or KL? Hmm…let's start with the highlight of the trip for me. The highlight for me had definitely gotta be ZOUK. Those who do not know what zouk is, it is actually a club, aka disco to some of you. So, as you might ask me, what's so interesting about it and why it was a highlight. Well, coz I did something I never thought I would do, ie dancing on the podium (stage). It's a stage meant for gals to go up, most of them were sexy chic, I admit I can never be compared to any of them. But who cares, I'm having a good time and I really wanted the experience and the memory.

The podium has got 4 sides, the north east south west, and another higher one in the middle of these 4. One platform can fit around 3 to 4 gals and it was surrounded by a lot of clubbers. I went up the podium twice. The 1st time I stepped up, it was quite scary and intimidating. Imagine ppl looking at you the second you got up there…*scary* This is very much diff than presentation though hehe.

Thanks to those who clapped and cheered when I got up there. The 1st time up there was kinda awkward. I was alone as Audrey didn't want to come up with me. Ishh! I came down like after half a song or so. A fren wanted to leave around 2am so we went out from the crowd for a while to discuss smth. It was good that we did that coz then they played the song 1,2 steps and we needed bigger space to do the moves! (right, tyco?) Watch this video clip by Ciara and you'll know what kind of moves I'm talking about hehe.

2 impatient guy frens had gone back in the dance floor. Sigh! So, the 6 of us went back in not long later. Me and audrey saw our African fren, Bangoura there. Actually he noticed us first and said "you! Hi!" Wahahhahaa. There was this foreign guy who kept smiling at me then turning his body to dance with me. I didn't give a damn about him at first but somehow he never moved his eyes from that somewhere. I dunno what exactly he was looking at. Ok, this wasn't right man, so I quickly turned around and faced my other guy frens. My frens were like smiling away so I dunno if they know I was avoiding that guy. Then this guy went up to Audrey and asked her where her other frens were. She pointed to all the guys behind us and I think he 'cuak' to see all guys there! Wahahhahaha…..he left! This is soooo damn funny~ I can't stop laufing now!!!

The podium was getting empty. And it was right in front of me kekeke. So guess what? I stepped up again for the 2nd time! Yeah, why not? I didn't go up there for the attention, instead it was for the cooler air, better view, and the wider dance space.Seriously, it was really nice and comfortable. I stayed there for a few songs long. You can shake your anything without worrying you'll bang other ppl beside you, or ppl shoving you. That sucked!! (Btw, I'm not saying about my frens, I mean OTHER clubbers) The only one good thing about dancing down there is you have your frens to dance with :)

We left at 3am. Danced for 3 hours, 1 hour more than last year at beach club. Still I can't get enuf of it, wonder if 4 hours are enuf. Our hotel was near to Bintang Walk and it took us 20 to 30 mins to walk to Zouk and to walk back. Actually, before the clubbing, I wasn't excited about it at all and I didn't really looked forward to it coz I was soo worried and afraid to walk in the middle of the night, wearing strap top and short skirt. But dun worry, we managed to walk back to the hotel safely. Oh yeah, we stopped for drinks at 7-eleven half way before reaching our rooms at 4am. Thanks to all the guys frens that escort us gals.

I think that's basically it, our trip to ZOUK KL. Wanna thank Wafi for his encouragement. If he didn't ask me to go up there, guess I'd never do so until now. So thanks! I wanted the experience of dancing on the podium, at least for once, that's why I did what I did. And it was very unbelievable and shocking even to myself. I can't believe I had the guts to do that!!! Where comes the guts man? Hahaha btw, I didn't drink though. Was still very much conscious that night! I can still remember most of the songs played, and how my frens actually danced :p

Coming up, part 2 of the trip…genting highland :) Stay tuned…
